Reality webisode! What is that?

Going to keep this really short so as not to carry on.

I find that John Edwards again has suprised me with his new use of media. Both John and Elizabeth embrace the net and blogging as we all know. The OneAmericaCommittee website has been great, however this a wonderful new item.

A reality based behind the scenes look at the candidate.

Take a look at this:

Big Deal (3.00 / 2)

As someone just wrote over at BlueNC:

God knows he ain't gettin' no love from the teevee reporter types. He could be twenty points ahead of the other Dems in Iowa and they wouldn't give him any love. Oh, wait ...

Well, but it's early. Honestly, 20 points in a poll now means nothing. < que snark >

Unless you're Hillary, Gore or Obama ... in which case being 20 points ahead would mean something. Heck even 16 & 18 percent poll numbers mean something when you're Hillary and Obama, respectively.

But 36 percent poll numbers mean nothing if you're Edwards. Nothing. Absolutely nothing. Move along. Nothing to see. < end snark >

But, seriously, the webisode is a great idea and I commend the young lady who took the lead in approaching him and pitching this idea.  Very good.

Re: Big Deal (3.00 / 2)

Everything is going according to my plan!

Serious rivals are dropping out, the schedule is taylor made for him, he's leading in Iowa polls, he's putting together a  great staff, he's hired Bonoir and thereby solidified his union support, he's leading among Iowa County Chairs, Obamamania is too big to sustain, especially given the real poll numbers, according to DailyKos Strawpoll JRE is supported by 28% of the netroots -- the leading candidate, and he's perfectly positioned himself as a populist and progressive after the 2006 elections, and he's now for withdrawal from Iraq (essentially the Levin plan).

The media will figure all this out in about 6 months, there's no big rush.

He's in good shape. (3.00 / 1)

Remember this?

He's really embraced the Web and innovative ways to reach out to build support. That's good and (as usual) forward-looking, because to some degree he has had to go around the corporate media, at least temporarily. But as they begin to focus more and more on Iowa, they will have to focus more on Edwards as well.

I agree MSM is behind (3.00 / 1)

They have no idea, he will be coming out strong, and they will be playing catch up, I am sure.

Another new idea by Edwards...a webisode.   He and Elizabeth are the trail blazers of the political Internet.

They are way ahead. (3.00 / 1)

Both of them see the value in the netroots. I really looking forward to what comes next.

Re: Reality webisode! What is that? (none / 0)

Edwards has really grasped the way to approach the Netroots. It's a way for a candidate to express him or herself in different ways, to excite people, AND to get feedback from supporters, detractors and those on the fence.

Kerry still sends me e-mails,  but he only hits me up for cash and asks me to sign petitions! Haven't we gone beyond this stage?
